It’s Monday!  Hurray!

I’m doing freelance work right now and that’s taking up a lot of my time.  I’m more or less limited to weekends, to work on the game.  Things should be clearing up in the next few weeks.

Having said that.

I buried the old dialogue system I built in the backyard and started on a new one.  This was probably a bad idea, but at least I’m back to where I was before.  I can add, edit, and delete lines in the editor.  I needed more room, where I could connect lines together.  For that, I needed an editor window.  The inspector wasn’t cutting it.

Maybe I should have just purchased a dialogue editor off the Asset Store.  It would have been a thousand times better made, I’m sure.  I just felt like I needed something simple.  Something that only did what I needed it to do.

I also built a scene so I can start testing stuff.  I probably spent more time on it than I should have too.  Especially when a blank scene would have worked.  I guess I figured if it’s going to be a good test scene, it should have “stuff” in it to interact with.

For this week, still working on story ideas.  I’m gonna wire up the test scene with my fancy new dialogue system, and see how it all works together.  I feel like most of what I did (both times) is probably going to be tossed, once I start putting a scene together, but we’ll see.  The best laid plans…

I really liked Inside.  There was no talking in that game.  That sounds nice.
